Some Words From The Writer

This all came to me on a sailing trip

Delivering a sailboat across the Caribbean Sea from Grenada to Fort Lauderdale in December 2025 with two of my great sailor friends Stephen and Steve, the words just landed on the page.  When we got to land I realized this was something special.

The book gives young people a chance to learn about what goes on under and just above the ocean...

...and I also wanted to producede the book the traditional way, using no Artificial Intelligence in its creation

Capturing real life maritime experiences

Geoff catching a Mahi Mahi on the passage to St Maarten

I really did catch a predator fish...

I really did catch a predator fish...

I really did catch a predator fish...

That's me with a Mahi Mahi that was caught with a Cuban yoyo hand line

Alex showing the flying fish that didn't make it across the boat

...and Alex found a Flying Fish...

I really did catch a predator fish...

I really did catch a predator fish...

We often find Flying Fish that didn't make it across the boat on deck after sunrise

Geoff looking relieved at the end of the 1,450nm passage

...then we finished the passage

I really did catch a predator fish...

...then we finished the passage

Me looking relieved after sailing 1,450 nautical miles  from Fort Lauderdale to St Maarten, in January 2020
